English News 30th march: essential win against Sassuolo, match report and all the interviews

Today at 12.30 Roma brought home 3 important points against Sassuolo to extend the lead on Napoli. Waiting for the result of their match, Roma is now 9 point beside Rafa Benitez’ team. The match ended 0-2 with the goals of Destro (10th goal in this Serie A) and Michel Bastos (first goal with Roma).

Lots of players talked after the match, including Kevin Strootman who congratulated his team on Twitter. Totti complimented himself with Di Francesco and all Sassuolo’s team, saying that this was an important win. Bastos declared “I had been looking for this goal for a long time. I embraced Maicon because he is a friend of mine and every brasilian should help each other.”

Rudi Garcia affirmed that he will support Napoli this evening as Roma is looking forward to the 1st place, while Eusebio Di Franesco, Sassuolo’s coach, complained about the referee decision on the penalty cancelled during the first half.

Radja Nainggolan released an interview at Sky Sports after the match saying that Destro should be in Brasil this summer to play the World Cup with the national team. He also confirmed that Bastos’ goal is the proof that there is a very strong and compact group and everyone is at Garcia’s disposal.

The only market rumor concerns Valentin Stocker, who should be in Roma’s aim for this summer even if he is secured at Basilea until 2016 because of  his contract.
